Emotions Captured by Addy’s Cam…

For this assignment in Visual Communications, we were instructed to capture 5 emotions through the use of our cameras on our phones. The photos needed to be candid and have some creativity and purpose to them. I chose to take photos while I was out at dinner with friends and while I was outside of the dorms watching as students left for class. Adjusting to feeling of being invasive was hard. But I found that the best photos aren’t staged and really convey the true thoughts or emotions of a person. These photos were shot on my IPhone XR.

Nostalgia – I took a picture of a friend who seemed to be deep in thought. Her expression reminded me of
Interest – I captured this moment while my roommate was on her laptop shopping.
Excitement – I captured this stranger while at dinner. The table next to me was having a really loud conversation. She seemed excited about what she was saying.
Calmness – This is a photo I took with a Cannon T5i.
